Escape to peaceful Upper Moonridge in this cozy two-story chalet near Bear Mountain and National Forest hiking trails. With vaulted wood ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace and spacious outdoor decks, it’s a comfortable mountain retreat for families, friends and guests traveling with dogs.

The Space
This 1,100+ sq. ft. chalet offers a warm mountain setting with vaulted wood ceilings and plenty of room to relax after a day on the slopes or trails.
Gather in the living room around the wood-burning fireplace, stream your favorite shows or enjoy a quiet evening together. The kitchen and dining area make meals at the cabin easy, with both table and bar seating for the group.

French doors open to the spacious decks, where you can enjoy your morning coffee, fire up the charcoal BBQ or simply relax among the trees.

Sleeping Arrangements
Bedroom 1 – King bed and TV
Bedroom 2 – Two double beds and TV
Sleeps up to 6 guests, with a maximum of 4 adults.

Location
Located in Upper Moonridge, you’ll be about 1.1 miles from Bear Mountain with National Forest hiking trails nearby. Snow Summit, the Alpine Zoo, golf course, Big Bear Lake and the Village are all within easy driving distance.

Other things to note: 
- Parking allowed for 2 vehicles
- Check-in: After 4:00 PM
- Check-out: Before 11:00 AM
- Maximum of 6 guests total, with no more than 4 adults.
- Pet fee $75 per pet (dogs only)
- Permit #VRR-2025-2260

My family and I spent the most peaceful and relaxing weekend in this cabin. I would recommend 10/10 . The view is extraordinary from every angle of the house. The cabin is so cozy, definitely gives you a mountain vibe and it is perfect for both winter and summer days. The house was spotless when arrived and we had absolutely no issues. Close to all big bear activities. I would definitely come here again.
