An Amazing Family Getaway

Clean and cozy cabin
Reviewed on 2024-02-14 by ChristopherMy wife, 6yo son, and I were looking for a “log-cabin” type experience in Big Bear and this was totally perfect! Two cozy bedrooms upstairs, nice little balcony on one, some kids books and a little adorable bear nightlight in the other. Very wood cabin feel with exposed wood grain everywhere, very cozy! There is a living room with fireplace downstairs, we didnt use the fireplace, but it adds a nice touch downstairs just being there. Small bathroom, but the shower is a decent size and it's clean and functional. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and they had coffee which was great in the morning. We went in winter so there was snow everywhere and we didnt really use the backyard or bbq or anything out there, but there is a little out back area with a grill and something else covered, maybe it was a jacuzzi, don't know, but it is probably a nice place to hang out in warmer months. They have a selection of board games which were fun for down time and some small tvs with a few dvds (we didnt really watch since we were trying to get away from screens, lol, but you could chill and watch a movie if you like. Overall it was perfect for what we were looking for. Two car parking and totally walkable to the downtown shopping and restaurants. Our first time to Big Bear so we will probably try another cabin next time just to get something different, but our son already said he wants to go back to this cabin so we may be back to this one again, lol. Highly recommend this place, and the Big Bear Cool Cabins experience was easy as well. We chose to go to the main office to check in, being our first time we wanted to ask some questions, but you don't have to you can go right to the cabin doing all the checkin online/over text. Super convenient and easy to use, definitely recommend the Cool Cabins team!

Inside the cabin
Gather in the comfortable living room around the wood-burning fireplace, watch your favorite shows on the large TV, or enjoy board games and family time around the dining table.
The renovated kitchen includes granite countertops, a stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, espresso machine, coffee maker, blender, toaster, crockpot, rice cooker, cookware and dishes—everything you need for meals at the cabin.

Outdoor space
